Gifts mean so much more when they are unique and thoughtful, and you can’t get anymore original that having something personalized. The personalization can be as simple as an initial, a name, or more detailed, with information similar to what you would include in a birth announcement.
The first thing to do is to choose the gift you would like to have personalized. You can make this decision by choosing something that will be special to the family or something simpler like pink for a girl or blue for a boy.
For babies, blankets, towels, bibs or lovies are great ideas. You can choose one or some of each of these items and have them all personalized in the same style for a cute baby shower basket. Just imagine the images a photographer can take of a baby wrapped in a blanket with the details of his or her birth embroidered and included in the photographs. Or can’t you just see photos of the baby wrapped in a hooded towel with a rubber ducky and their name embroidered on the corner?
If a family is expecting multiples, having onesies or little t-shirts monogrammed with the baby’s names would be precious! It may also prove to be practical and helpful for times when they the babies will be around others that may have a hard time telling the difference, like church or family gatherings.
You can even choose decorative items for the nursery and have them spell out the new baby’s name. Gifts can be more specific and fit a theme, like a baseball bat wall peg rack to hold the little slugger’s hangables (insert photo with link to items?) or something simpler, like a wooden 2-tier stool with a puzzle on the top in pastels or bright colors. Over the years, as the baby grows, you can continue to gift personalized gifts like picture frames to hold the memories and mark the milestones!
Whatever you decide to give it is sure to be a treasure to the family and over time become a family heirloom blessing them for many years to come.
